Delphic Maxim #1 : Follow God
So I have decided that I'm going to be posting at least one everyday as part of my own study to get deeper into Hellenism. It is said that these were the words of the god Apollon and they were located at his temple in Delphi and were supposedly meant to help Mortals to live a more pious and virtuous life. Delphic Maxims #1: Follow God Now this doesn't necessarily mean follow a single God as the Maxim decrees. For those New to Hellenism, this simple means that you must Follow your Gods in a humble way and to be utterly respectful. This Maxim is by no means a Christian Maxim and shoudl not be taken as such; unless you are following a Abrahamic religion, then obviously Hellenism is not for you , since it is a mainly a Polytheistic Religion Poly=MANY. Many of the Ancient Greeks, were very religious and so saw the Delphic Maxims as a good guideline to a sence of good way of living ones life with Piety and virtuousness.
